Bangkok Trip - Jan 14, 2013 - Wat Pho

Jan.14, 2013

We hired the van (1200baht) for a half day tour around the city.  The van is actually good for 14pax, and since we are only 9pax, we enjoyed the space.

First Stop, Wat Pho (Reclining buddha)

Entrance Fee
100Baht/pax
operating hours: 830am-630pm

You are not allowed to get in on your shoes, they will ask you to take off your shoes and carry it around with their bags which isn't for free.

As I walk around the area, I see people who have their 20baht change to coins and they put it on these containers.  as i do it, actually was praying!

and ofcourse, other things to see around the area.

Bangkok Trip - Jan 13, 2013

As we depart manila, I noticed this self check in for Cebu Pacific airline. Since it was my first time to know about this, I actually just took a picture of it for your reference. :)

Don't forget to get ready with the travel tax though.  Note, that they don't have special rates for senior citizens, darn!

and yes, there is also rush hour in check in counter, so you better get there early

right after we landed Bangkok, we went straight to our hotel (First House Hotel) to check in.  I love the location of this hotel because just on their ground, there are shops everywhere.  They open at around 6am and closes by 3pm, better get up early!

How to get to jatujak market?  just ride their BTS train to Mo chit and i am definitely sure that all the people there are going to chatuchak, haha...though they are only open during the weekends.

since we got there on a Sunday, we have no choice than to go to jatujak (chatuchak) market.  there were alot of good buys around the area so be sure that you stick to your goal on what you will buy.

and ofcourse, their awesome exotic food!  below is for only 10baht.  if you are not into spicy food, i suggest that you don't put in their spicy sauce, because it really stings!

BPI Daily ATM machine Withdrawal limit

Tomorrow, January 13, 2013, I will be travelling to Bangkok with my Boyfriend's family.  I know that this is going to be fun for the second time since it will be our first time to travel out of the country.  Anyhow, just before this trip, it was just so sad that I don't have enough time to get ready with this.  In line with this, we didn't get to prepare much with our financial side.  Now, all we can do is withdraw peso from our atm accounts.  So this note is for us to remember the limit of withdrawal in BPI machines.

Daily withdrawal limit is as follows:

Regular Peso Accounts (includes increase limit) BETPhP
20,000

Maxi One AccountsPhP
50,000

Baler Diary (Nov.29, 2012)

Nov29,2012-Dec2,2012 I believe was the 4th time I have been to Baler, Aurora but this was the first time I have been 'around' Baler.

Below are the exact itinerary we had for the whole trip.

Nov.28, 2012, 1130PM
-since our trip is at 1230AM (Nov.29, 2012) we have to be at their terminal an hour before because we still have to settle our bus ticket since what we only have is the payment slip from their BDO account.

Joybus Details.
1.  Call Joybus first for seat reservation at 7090803/4211425
     - I don't suggest 6th row since the light of the restroom might strain your eyes and also, if someone pooped, you will be the one first to smell it.

2.  they will give their bdo details where you will deposit your full payment of fare.

3.  You need to call them back and tell them your reference number.

Nov.29, 2012

We arrived in Baler at around 530AM.
Rode a tricycle to get to our hotel (Bay-ler View hotel).
       Tryc cost PHP15/head
       Hotel for 3pax is PHP1800/night
       Hotel for 4pax is PHP2300/night
We are glad that we can use our credit in that hotel!

Since we talked to our tryc drivers to take us around the city, we waited for them for about an hour to settle down first with the hotel.

How to delete folder in Note2

I used to be an iPhone user but then I bought Samsung note 2 due to I love how big it is.  The saleslady created a folder but when I was trying to delete what she created, I just couldn't.  Below is the process on how to delete a folder in apps window.

1. Open App Screen
2.  Menu Button
3.  Edit
4.  Hold the folder and move it up until you see the trash bin.

Ymca member

We paid php500 to be a ymca member. You might be thinking why we decided to do so, well, initially we wanted to avail of php20 discount by using their gym. At the same time, this membership is recognized world wide. The only thing that i know is that we can get additional discount if we stay in their 'hotel'

Plug in, not charging (windows7)

Everytime we use the laptop at home, we make sure that the battery is not plugged in so it won't overcharge. Last night was different, there was lighting strike and the electricity flickered so we decided to put back the battery so the laptop will be safe.

As time pass by, i noticed that it say 96% available NOT charging...i freaked out a little bit and decided to look for solution online. So here's how to deal with it.

1.shutdown the laptop
2.boot with only battery plug in
3.after booting up, then plug in the outlet

This worked for us, i hope to you guys too.
