Itinerary for Magalawa Zambales Trip

This post that I have prepared are for our group that will travel to Magalawa Zambales this coming weekend (May16-17, 2015).  And for those that are interested in going, this might be of help.
Our package includes of the following (Php3000).

-resort entrance
-boat (port-resort-port)
-pitch of tent
-open cottage
-food(Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner-Breakfast)
     inclusive of drinking water
     softdrinks for lunch
-transpo (mnl-zam-mnl) - Nissan Urvan POK810 -with a/c
-island hopping (choice between bakala island and snorkling)

Notes:
-Bonfire setting is prohibited to protect the sands.
-Electricity is available from 6pm to 7am only using a generator
-P200 paluto fee
-lend you their cookwares at no extra charge
-location is great because it is just a short walking distance from sari-sari stores
-walk the island in 2 hours
-water and softdrinks are inclusive of package


Watch Out: 
  • sandfly - use citronella
  • rip current
  • Food-ransacking dogs

May16-630AM    ETA Ruiz Resort
        Stopover:NLEX petron-15mins
        Stopover:Jollibee, IBA
        5mins boat ride to resort   
May17-11AM    ETD Ruiz Resort

  • citronella
  • cooler
  • paper plate
  • utensils
  • dishwashing soap
  • water bottle
  • canned goods
  • 1L tequila - marlon mildred
  • 1L tequila - abby alex jerome
  • snacks - edwin
  • spork
  • pillow
  • blanket
  • Tent - edwin, warren, nats

Activities:
1.  Relax on Balsa
     -free if we chose island hopping - snorkling/"floating"



2.  Snorkling
     -Raymond said that we can no longer snorkle on the marine sanctuary area (in between magalawa and san salvador island)


3.  San Salvador snorkling
     -10 mins boat ride from magalawa
     -we can see giant clams (small coral garden)
     -I heard that there is an additional php200 for the maintenance fee



4.  Bacala Resthouse / Bacala Island
     -can be seen on the way to the giant clam


5.  Island Walk
     -walk around in 2 hours




 6.   Mangrove forest
     -20mins walk from ruiz resort
     -may also ride a boat going there




7.  Matalvis Island
     -Based on one of  the sources, this is a private island, and not sure if this is open for the public.
